Ergonomic Perfection

ICON optimises user experience and overall performance - the outcome of a research-driven journey. Thoughtfully designed to be convenient for the user, ICON is divided into two major sections.

Door & Provision

The top section is easily accessible, making it easy to get hold of the most commonly used items.

Crisper & Freezer

The usually difficult to access bottom half is made accessible and visible by introducing a unique drawer system.

Concealed details

Cleverly concealed drawer slides, and practically no visible joinery give the fridge a clean and premium look.

Lights up the room

Light has a direct and immediate impact on your experience. Its the first thing you notice when you open the fridge. So we’ve paid significant attention to the light panel so your food looks incredible-always.

Seamless Quality

The two-piece lighting panel (at the top and back of the fridge), is designed in such a way that the panels blend to give a uniform lighting experience. Made to exacting standards mean LED Hotspots are eliminated. Integrating lighting details, extruded rails for shelving and vents within the back panel was an engineering feat our design team perfected successfully.

Soft Lighting

Inspired by food photography, the large light panels create a soft diffused light that illuminates the space and makes sure your food looks fresh, always. The soft light reflecting off the stainless steel sides further enhances the lighting. Arriving at the perfect light quality was the result of multiple trials undertaken. Combined with tint free surgical glass, ICON provides the highest standard of light quality and visibility.

Refreshingly Different

Recessed Handles

The door panel is a frame created completely out of extruded aluminium sections. A special extruded aluminium section is seamlessly integrated with the door frame to form the handle. The built-in, unobtrusive handle design, makes sure it is comfortable and easy to use.

Design Studies

Studies in form were conducted to make sure the handles were ergonomically designed. Multiple handle profiles went through a thorough check-list and user testing process using foam mock-ups, to see that it fit every users hand and provided the most comfortable grip.

Concept Development

The concept was then tested at our prototyping facility (FOMO), using machined aluminium, to validate functionality, and to ensure a foolproof assembly.

Innovative Shelving

A revolutionary take on shelving, this two-piece shelving system is completely adjustable vertically and provides great flexibility and quick access to items. The glass shelves with wooden trims, create intrigue by adding warmth and richness to the space.

High on Functionality

High-end aluminium extrusion locking rails have SS inserts for weight transfer and stability. The locking rails also function as vents, allowing consistent and uninterrupted cooling.

Clean lines, concealed details

A sophisticated system, engineered to ensure minimal and precise gaps between the shelves. Gives users the versatility to arrange the shelves and accommodate a variety of large and small food containers depending on the need.

Touch sensors integrated within the panel

The easy to set - one touch control panel, optimises the refrigerators performance based on your need. Minimalist icons were specially designed to ensure they are easily recognizable as well as intuitive. A constant LED ring glows around the icons and on touching or activating, the icon lights up. They are hidden from view when the door is closed, giving the exterior a clean look.

Detachable Door Bins

An elegant form that ensures every inch of space is utilised. Combining the optical clarity of molded acrylic and the strength of formed aluminium, each door bin provides the right amount of visibility with just as much robustness. Rounded and well finished edges ensure the corners are soft to touch. The precisely controlled fillets of the acrylic bin and aluminium brackets have been engineered to fit perfectly inside each other.

The easy locking system allows for complete vertical adjustability along the raails. Incremental height adjustment allows the user to accommodate various bottle and container sizes. Cleverly concealed locking details help maintain a clean exterior.

Easy to remove bins make it convenient to use around the kitchen or to take to the breakfast table. A simple slide-to-lock detail ensures the bin stays locked in place. Simply unlock the bin to use.

A Premium Touch

Integrated Wine Rack

A classy touch to wooden wine racks, this space was designed to make a special connect with wine afficionados. State of the art processes and premium quality wood are used to create this space and to ensure the bottles are at the right temperature for the perfect flavour.

The tray is inclined at an angle designed to ensure the wine bottles do not slide out and are also easily accessible.

From start to finish

Milled into a solid piece of wood, the wine tray sits in a finely finished slab of contrasting white Corian®. The open storage allows for different shaped bottles to be stored easily. The beautifully crafted wooden tray gives a sense of luxury to the space.

Thoughtfully designed drawer system that gives the user easy access to everything inside and ensures maximum use of space. ICON gives you the convenience to customise and organise the fridge the way you like it.

Engineered to perfection, the drawer systems are formed using cutting edge panel bending technology and screw-less interlocking methods with riveting. As far as possible, we have kept the use of plastic to a minimum and have made an effort to design parts majorly out of bent stainless steel sheets. The dual-side brush finished sheets give the drawers a well polished look.

Cooling

A drawer system within the top half that has a hassle-free ice-maker so you always have fresh, clean ice at your finger tips. A specially created zone with a simple sheet metal bottle organiser to ensure bottles stay in place. The optimal environment to keep your drinks chilled.

Ultimate

Freshness

A two-storeyed system with trays that accommodate and organise various fruit and vegetable sizes. An interlocking detail allows the trays on top to slide, giving access to the bottom level. They can also be removed for easy cleaning. A special v-shaped small vegetable tray, ensures quick access to items like lemons and chillies that are otherwise easily hidden. Controlled airflow technology ensures moisture preservation and long lasting freshness.

Drawer-in-drawer system ensures complete space utilisation and helps segregate raw and cooked items. It also prevents any contamination or odour mixing of ready to eat foods. Completely made out of brushed stainless steel sheets, its easy to clean and hygienic surfaces, ensure your food is preserved well.
