Electronics hardware design services is where we started. Elemental Electronics was founded by Electronics Engineers who provide Electronics Product Design and Development services to a range of industries that include simple control boards to complex electronics.
Custom Electronics Design
Our Electronics Design & Development services include a wide range of offerings. These services take concepts/ideas all the way from the electronics prototyping stage, through to electronics manufacturing and product assembly.
We are flexible and provide these services individually or as part of a turn-key product development project. Our team are always updated with the latest technology and trends through in-house research and development.
PCB Layout
Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design and layout focuses on the routing of a schematic on a physical board. We follow best practices to reduce product risk and ensure that the electronic design can function as required.
Schematic Design
Our electronics design schematic library is filled with years of experience and proven designs, which we can tap into when creating a new electronic product. We conduct in-house schematic reviews carefully to ensure the electronics product works as intended.
Electronics Prototyping
We reduce risk and create product samples through our electronics prototyping process. This is a quick turn-around service for validating or completing simple electronic product designs and can be completed in a few weeks.
Antenna Design
Almost all new electronic products have some type of communication, whether it’s an IoT device, RFID coil or a new wireless electronic product our team specialise in custom antenna simulations, antenna measurement and manufacturing.
Simulations
Electronics design and circuit design simulations are often the first step in ensuring analog circuits or power electronics work as required. Electronics product development doesn’t always require simulations, but it is useful in some instances.
Reverse engineering
We often get asked to design a new electronic product that mimics features of another device (usually legacy that isn’t sold anymore). We do create designs that can be integrated with old technologies or replicate functionality.
Electronics Product Review
There are AS and global standards on electronic products and we do design and product reviews for clients who wish to understand if their product meets the required standards or if further certification is needed.
Component Selection
Microcontrollers and System Chips form the heart of any electronic product, whilst power components ensure efficiency, especially for battery powered electronic devices. We use our wealth of knowledge to ensure component selection future proofs the designs.

Our Prototyping Electronic Design Solution Process
Selecting Hardware Component
Depending on the budget and the features, our experienced engineers choose suitable hardware components. These include sensors, microchips, processors and power circuits.
Capturing Schematics
Through a schematics diagram, our engineers represent how the components connect with one another. Most of the time, the circuit boards have more than a single functional block.
PCB Layout
The next step involves the design of the PCB layout. To ensure effective connection between components, the design blends routing placements and includes a customised list of design rules based on the system requirements
Bill of Materials (BOM)
BOM represents the details of the hardware components along with the quantity. As it serves as an essential list, it helps to get an idea of the cost estimation. Being an OEM Elemental Electronics has strong component purchasing and sourcing power.
Prototyping
To build a prototype circuit board, our hardware engineers submit Gerber Files to a trusted raw PCB board manufacturer who supplies us with a bare PCB. Once the raw sample boards are manufactured our skilled Electronic Technicians either hand or machine assemble the prototype whilst continually test the board during this process.
